![]() A total of 391 civilians were killed in Syria throughout August 2018, including 67 children and 37 women, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR). A total of 6,036 civilians have now been killed in Syria since the start of 2018.
There was a notable drop in death tolls this month due to the significant drop in military operations throughout the country. However, bombings and assassinations were on the rise this month in Syria. The Syrian Regime had the highest death tolls this month, with a total of 239 civilians, including 13 children and 6 women. The second highst death tolls was at the hands of the Other Parties category. This category contains all of the deaths from bombings and shelling from unknown sources. For the third month in the row, new lists of forcibly disappeared people and their deaths were released by the Syrian Regime, according to the SNHR. A total of 82,000 names have been revealed as dead from forcible disappearance since the start of the civil war, at the hands of the Syrian Regime and their allies.
