A total of 593 civilians were killed in Syria throughout June 2018, including 141 children and 74 women, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR). A total of 4,759 civilians have now been killed in Syria since the start of 2018.
For the third month, Syria has seen a significant drop in civilian deaths, mostly due to the Syrian Regime forces having control of key areas, including Eastern Ghouta and Aleppo. However, an uptick in death tolls took place this month, due to the vicious attack offensive in Darra governorate.
Daraa governorate, a de-escalation zone, saw an offensive by the Syrian-Russian alliance. The offensive resulted in the killing of 221 civilians.
A total of 4,759 civilians were killed in Syria since the start of 2018, 64% of which were at the hands of the Syrian government. A total of 1104 children and 798 women have been killed
The Syrian Regime has been the biggest killer of civilians, killing 3,056 civilians including 616 children and 507 women. Along with Russian forces, the SNHR states that 90% of the attacks they held out directly targeted civilians and civilian objects.
