The Green Hand:
A Symbol of Revolution and Solidarity for the Syrian People

Why the green hand?
Green is the color of life, and slowing becoming the color of revolution.
The symbol of the green hand started in 2009 with the Iranian Revolution or movement, when Iranians took to their streets to protest the fraudulent presidential election. Then the Arab Spring broke out in 2010 and finally landed in Syria in 2011.
The Syrian Revolution stated with students and anti-government graffiti. The green hand is our graffiti. We are reaching out to the Syrian people to show them we stand in solidarity with them, with their struggles towards freedom.
By joining together, our green hand prints can make a real difference in many ways. Our green hands are a symbol solidarity, a symbol of revolution, and a symbol of togetherness.
Get some paint, a camera, and post a picture to tell the world, I Am Syria!
